Ray and Nancy Vetter started Vetter Electric, Inc. in the fall of 1986 in their garage. As the business began to grow, Ray would have his employees meet up at the supply house each morning to plan the day's work. His focus has always been to providing quality electric work and pleasing customers.
By 1989, the company had outgrown the garage. Ray moved his family to a house on Pulley Road and his business into a barn behind the house. Around this time, Stephen Davis and Bill Utley were hired as apprentices. By 1999, the company had outgrown the barn and Ray moved his business to an industrial park in Berry Hill.
In the Spring of 2007, Tammy Vetter Sanders, Ray and Nancy's oldest daughter, managed the office side of the business and long time Vetter Electric employees, Bill Utley and Stephen Davis, managed the operation side. In the Fall of 2008, Ray's son, Chaz, was brought in to manage the office side of the business. Chaz graduated from Lipscomb University in 2005. He worked in public accounting for three years at a local firm.
In the Fall of 2010, Vetter Electric has relocated to a stand-alone office in Berry Hill. Bill, Stephen and Chaz continue to focus on quality electrical work and pleasing customers.
